Greetings,

I'd like to briefly  introduce you all to the RiftScape universe, more precisely, the "Aetherspace";

First of all, RiftScape universe does not obey the same laws of physics (more or less) and is structured differently than our universe.

The highest known order of the universe in RiftScape is the "Aetherspace"; It is an ever-changing space-like environment containing portals, known as "Rifts", separated by great distances. These portals lead to Realms, which typically takes the form of landmasses surrounded by an infinite ocean; but not necessarily so.

A natural formation known as the Celestial Ways also connects the different Rifts together, allowing the Aetherspace to be traveled by foot.

Typical occurrences:

• Rifts
  Portals to Realms. These looks and shine like stars from far away,
• Aether clouds
  Gaseous clouds with different properties.
• Stations & derelicts
  Structures of varying age built by Aether-faring species.
• Great beasts
  Aether-bound creatures of enormous size, hunted by some Aether-faring species for their resources.
• Geomes
  Basic geometric crystals of varying size and nature.
• Supernatural Winds
  Dangerous, unpredictable events. Can be small, but can also reach cataclysmic scales.
• Aetherships
  Like spaceships, but designed for Aetherspace. They can vary a great lot, depending on what they may rely on to power themselves. Some of these mean of powering an Aethership includes: combustion of explosive materials, magic, a combination of both, or even more esoteric means of propulsion.

Of course, the current demo is limited to a specific isle on one of these Realms, but will eventually include a trip into the Aetherspace aboard the Azethan Flying City of Azetaxia.

Who or what are the Azethans? Well, that's a story for another time...
